From University to Market Embassy Project

The main beneficiaries of the University to the Market Embassy Project are the SMEs residing in Sakarya and foreign students studying at Sakarya University.

Elements that encourage this project can be expressed as follows:

Turkey's Sakarya has long been the most export and export of the fastest growing provinces maintain their place in the top of the rankings. However, it is difficult to claim that this positive position exists in terms of the number of exporting companies and market diversity, especially due to the lack of infrastructure in terms of foreign trade of SME enterprises, as well as communication with potential and existing markets, managing cultural differences and language skills.

On the other hand, there are approximately 2300 foreign students studying at various educational levels at Sakarya University. Moreover, our university plans to double this number in the near future. These students, which are an important element of SAU on the way to become an international university, cannot establish close contact with other students and other stakeholders in the province at the desired level in academic, social and economic terms, although they have developed very strong communication among themselves.

With the Project from University to Market Embassy, it is aimed to meet foreign students studying at SAU with Sakarya SMEs. With this project, it is aimed for foreign students to be trained in Sakarya companies. With this matchmaking and cooperation, Sakarya companies will be able to find global markets, suppliers or partners, while foreign students will also have the opportunity to develop themselves and get to know our country and city more closely. In addition, their internship will gain value with ECTS.

Thus, the foreign students' academic, country and language information will be matched with the experience of the Sakaryan companies to establish a win - win relationship. Another output of the project in students, of which the training is then provided in the fact that Turkey's trade envoy to volunteer in their own country.
