International Trade Department of Sakarya University  has been founded on 7th September 2011 at the meeting of Council of Higher Education within Business Faculty of Sakarya University by considering the potential scale of the international trade both in Turkey and worldwide  to provide  qualified  labour force to the business especially to meet the convenient staff needs by facilitating job experince at the last term (8th).  International Trade Department began education  by admitting 15 students for Master’s Degree Program at the 2012-2013 Spring Term. Education in both Non- thesis Master Program and Undregraduate Level is going to begin as of 2013-2014 Fall term. With the decision taken at the Executive Board meeting of the Council of Higher Education dated 28 December 2016, four Departments affiliated to our department were opened. These; International Trade Policy, International Supply Chain, International Business and International Economic Law. With the decision of the Higher Education Council in May 2020, the name of our department was changed to International Trade and Finance.
